I’m currently moving to a new and better comment system, which means all the site’s comments (from the last year) are now migrating to the new place.
But it’s taking a little while. All comments will reappear within the next half hour or so.
I hope this makes for more readable threads.
**UPDATE** All comments are there, but I’m curious to hear from anyone who has difficulties using the new system. Please do share and I’ll make all necessary tweaks by tonight.

I wasn't able to post from work today. None of the javascript buttons work.

Sorry about that. I'm asking my webmaster to look into this and a few other glitches related to the comment software.
Other than you couldn't use it, did you like it?

I don't like it when comments over a certain (relatively low) number go over to another page. It makes it harder to follow the discussion.
I miss the html buttons you previously had (esp. for including hyperlinks).
The font of the comments is quite small.

I'm experimenting with this new software. I can easily return to the old comment system.
FYI: you can paste in url's. They automatically show up as hyperlinks. I'm still figuring out how to embed a link into a highlighted word.
I'll give this system the rest of the week and see if people have made the adjustment. I'm not wedded to it.

I still cannot post from work. AFAIC, it’s not working.
Agree with Bart’s comments as well.
